We're Getting Married!

Thirteen years ago, we met at freshman orientation. Fresh out of high school, we were both there to register for classes and start our college journey. As usual, one of us was early... and the other was running 30 minutes late.
As Maurice sat waiting in the back of the auditorium, Trishia walked in and asked, "Am I in the right place?" That one simple question sparked an instant friendship.
We spent the rest of orientation side by side, surviving every icebreaker and cheesy activity together. Before heading home, we exchanged Twitter handles (because, let's be honest, Twitter was the social media app back then).
Throughout college, we stayed friends, catching up between classes and inviting each other to our cheer/frat parties. But after sophomore year, life took us in different directions, and we eventually lost touch.
Almost ten years later, fate stepped in.
While scrolling through Twitter, Maurice came across a tweet from Trishia(despite the fact that she hadn't posted in years). Taking it as his sign, he searched for her on Instagram using her Twitter handle and slid into her DMs.
That message led to our first date... and we've been talking ever since.
Now, three years later, we're celebrating our engagement and looking forward to the greatest adventure yet: becoming husband and wife.
Funny how one question at orientation unknowingly became the beginning of our forever.
